Hello, everyone! I thought that today I would share some thoughts and talk about The Flawless Map. What is this map? Good question. This is a term that I will use to represent God’s plan for our lives.
Did you know that God has a specific plan for you? He has tomorrow all planned out for you whether it’s just another day or a big occasion. We have no assurance that we won’t wake up tomorrow and find out that we have cancer, or that we may not even wake up at all. I don’t mean to discourage anyone, but we must understand that a painless life isn’t guaranteed in Christianity. But to go along with this news, we can also know that God has complete control of everything – the Universe, the Earth, nature, and people. Now the first three of those things will always listen to Him, while the last one on the list will not. Because we were each given a mind of our own, and a free will, we each have the ability to make our own choices, ones that can determine what kind of life we live.
Sometimes, our planning is not the same as what God already has in store for us. Think of it this way. Picture in your head a big map laid out on a table. You are holding a tiny candle as your only light. To see the map, you must move the candle over each part of it, but you can never see the whole map at once. God is the only one who can see the whole map because He drew it, therefore we can trust that He will give us good directions to our destination. Without God’s guidance, we would be lost.
Romans 8:28 says “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.”
This is my favorite verse at the moment. It reminds me that God knows better than I do and that I can trust Him. It’s like the time our car broke down in our driveway when we were going to be late for an event. After 20 minutes of trying to fix the car, it just began working again for no specific reason. When we got out of our driveway and went up the road, we found that there had been a bad car accident at that intersection about 20 minutes before. So what we thought was a bad thing happening to us, really saved our lives by keeping us out of that accident! The delay in our own plans was really God’s plan!
When something in your life goes in a way you don’t want it to go, remember that God will always be in control. But we must be willing to trust Him whether we’ve known Him for our whole lives, or just a day! He knows beyond our imagination and is the maker of this big map called life. God knows what will happen in the next 10 years, 10 months, 10 days, 10 minutes, and 10 seconds! So, we can trust that He knows best. This is God’s flawless map. He has made one for each of us, and I know that His plans for you are very special!
